What we do - PUBLIC HEALTH REPORTING
Immunization Registry Reporting
Tennessee’s Immunization Registry is a secure, centralized database that contains records of vaccines given to Tennessee residents in health departments and participating provider offices and facilities.
By using etHIN’s Immunization Registry Reporting, providers can automatically submit information on vaccinations performed at their locations, without logging into the State portal to manually upload records. etHIN is working with the TN Department of Health to allow etHIN users to pull records that already reside in the Registry, as long as their particular EMR system supports that functionality.
Having complete immunization records allows providers to:
- Easily determine which inoculations are due.
- Prevent unnecessary or duplicate vaccinations.
- Give immunization records to their patients on-demand for school, camp, daycare enrollment and personal records.
- Save administrative time and costs incurred by requesting records from the Registry through traditional means.
Cancer Registry Reporting
The Tennessee Cancer Registry is dedicated to the collection and use of quality data for the purpose of decreasing the incidence and mortality of cancer in Tennessee.
When using etHIN’s Cancer Registry Reporting service, required cancer case information will be automatically submitted to the State registry, eliminating the need for staff members to manually log into a State portal to upload records.
Syndromic Surveillance
Syndromic surveillance is the collection of information about the general public’s health to determine whether there are any diseases that are following an unusual trend, such as a sudden increase in flu episodes at an unexpected time of year.
Hospitals’ syndromic surveillance data can be reported to the Tennessee Department of Health automatically by etHIN, eliminating the need for staff members to engage in repetitive manual tasks.
